I am her.
I have always been her.
Before I had language for my gifts…
Before I recognized the architecture of my own power…
Before the world tried to convince me to shrink, soften, or silence myself…
I. Was. Her.
Where My Magick Was Born
My healing did not begin with a certificate.
It began with ancestry.
With women who stirred medicine into pots,
who prayed into the cracks of broken systems,
who laid hands on aching backs and weary spirits,
who read dreams, omens, and sky messages,
who carried whole families on shoulders shaped by courage, brilliance, and devotion.
Their magick is my inheritance.
Their resilience is my spine.
Their intuition is my compass.
I embody that.
I amplify that.
I stand unshaken in that.
But let me tell the truth plainly:
The magick, power, and spiritual legacy of FBA people have been demonized—not because they were dark or dangerous, but because they were effective.
Because they were powerful.
Because they were ours.
Our ways of knowing, our divination, our conjure traditions, our prayers, our ancestral communication, our herbs, our laying-of-hands—
all of it was feared.
All of it was suppressed.
All of it was labeled “evil” or “primitive” because oppressors understood that a people connected to their own spiritual power are harder to control.
Demonization was not about morality.
It was about fear.
Fear of what we could do.
Fear of what we remembered.
Fear of what we might resurrect.
And yet—
through chains, through laws, through erasure, through forced conversions and generational silencing—
our magick survived.
Hidden in our kitchens.
Braided into our hair.
Whispered into our psalms.
Folded into our lullabies.
Shared in our stories.
Protected by our elders.
Our ancestors carried the flame beneath their tongues so it could reach us.
And now, we rise with it.
The Conjurer, The Reader, The Writer, The Healer
I am that Black conjurer who calls clarity down from unseen realms and opens healing pathways where despair once lived.
I am that Black Tarot reader who reads not just the cards but the lineage behind them—shadow, destiny, memory, and instruction from the other side.
I am that Black healer who shows up at community events with my hands ready, my spirit open, and my energy tuned to the frequency of liberation. I am a vessel—yes.
But I am also a force.
I will not dim my spirit.
I will not censor my knowing.
I will not pretend this world treats us all the same.
I heal with truth, not illusion.
I am bold because my ancestors demanded the right to breathe.
I am loud because silence has never saved us.
I am strong because resilience is my inheritance.
I am loving because tenderness is a revolution.
I am kind because kindness is power in motion.
I am her—
the one they whispered about,
the one they prayed for,
the one they envisioned carrying the torch forward.
