Life can have its ups and downs and to be honest, can feel like a dried piece of toast. Rough, hard to chew, and definitely dry. Between the News and local issues, life can seem like it's closing in on us if we let it. Unfortunately taking in too much negativity can change our own personal attitudes especially towards others. But I have good news if you are a Follower of Jesus Christ!
According to Galatians 5:22-23 if you have truly asked Jesus Christ into your life then you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. This means you have the fruits of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. Which also means you have the fruit of the Spirit in you as well? These incredible attributes should bring a powerful change in your life as well as those around you because they are characteristics of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 5:22-23 English Standard Version
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control;
So today I simply leave you with this. Allow the Fruit of the Holy Spirit to pour out of you freely. The world needs hope, they need compassion. As a believer you have the ability to change someone’s life and when you show them Love it exposes gentleness which gives them peace and joy. When you are patient with others it shows kindness and goodness. And when you show self-control, people can see your faithfulness to the Lord's word. That’s what the world needs, that’s what the people in your sphere of influence need. So I say to you today don’t be a dry piece of toast all stiff and rough. Spread the Fruit of the Spirit on your life and others so the world will see Jesus in you. Blessings and love to you ALL!
