Today Is Difficult, Tomorrow Is Much More Difficult, But The Day After Tomorrow Is Beautiful. Most People Die Tomorrow Evening. — Jack Ma
Have you ever felt as though life is crushing you?
As though everything is in a downward spiral and gets worse no matter what you do?
I have been there.
Let me share a story with you about a night when it was simpler to give up than to keep going — and why you need to hang on.
When Everything Breaks Down
My life was a complete disaster not long ago. My plans were falling apart, work was a complete mess, and I felt like I was running on a treadmill going nowhere.
One bad meeting was the last straw. When I got home, I sank into my chair and asked myself, “What is the point?”
Then Dr. Neelam Himthanii (Neelam), my wife, dropped a truth bomb. She made me think of what Jack Ma once said:
Today Is Difficult, Tomorrow Is Much More Difficult, But The Day After Tomorrow Is Beautiful. Most People Die Tomorrow Evening. — Jack Ma
It really got to me.
I was caught in that terrible, soul-crushing stage of “tomorrow” where nothing seemed to work. Neelam said —
“Don’t you dare give up. Not now. Not tomorrow evening. Just hold on.”
The Wake-Up Call
Her words forced me to rethink.
What if “tomorrow” wasn’t the end? What if I just had to survive it to see the breakthrough?
That evening, I decided something. I had no intention of quitting. Not quite yet.
I started looking for wins, no matter how small.
On some days, it was completing an assignment. On other days, someone said something kind.
Slowly, those small wins added up. Then, suddenly, things started to shift.
The work improved. I felt energized again. Things began to make sense once again...
