Hi, we are rat lovers from Ukraine. In cooperation with the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group (https://www.facebook.com/KARG.kyivanimalrescuegroup/), we are going to the City of Kryvyi Rih to save 50+ pet rats. In the beginning of the war, a couple of pet rats was thrown out of a pet shop. Luckily, they managed to survive and even breed, and even appeared in the news (https://fb.watch/mSPpnvm2E6/). However, now they are in trouble. They are starting to starve because there are too many of them, foxes hunt them, and humans tried to poison them. They are still pet rats, with much worse instincts than wild rats, and they SUFFER outdoors! We are going to take them to Kyiv and find good owners for every one of them, but we need a lot of resources. We are paying for everything from our own costs, but we still have only two kidneys to sell :), so we need your help. In particular, we need money for:
1) Transportation.
2) Accomodation in Kryvyi Rih while we will be collecting the rats.
3) Cages and harmless traps.
4) Endoscopes (we will need them to listen for rats while digging their coverts, so that none of the sick or baby rats is left behind).
5) Rat food.
6) Medical treatment and neutering. The best Ukrainian rat doctors, Kristina Hardini (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100015853894659) and Oleksandra Vanina, will treat the rats for free, but they will need expensive medicines and materials.
In total, we need about $1500.
