There was a time when using photography or visuals in my designs was a real challenge. The only options were paid image banks or free low quality resources.
In 2013 Unsplash launched and changed the game. In a nutshell it offers a bunch of high quality images for free that can be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes without permission.
I have always been interested in photography – from 2007, I started using flickr and I got really interested in photography. Then, I moved to Instagram until 2 years ago, when I decided to leave the platform.
At the moment, most of my photography is available at flickr, and since last weekend I decided to upload some alternative shots to Unsplash: @ramsescabello.
It feels like a perfect opportunity to give back to a community which I have been using for a long time. It is also exciting to see other people using my shots and making them part of their projects.
