Howdy. Now that I've consolidated (deleted my Ko-Fi account to just use this one) the dark haiku from that site will now be posted her as well. However, I will not stop the Nature haiku I love based on the walks I take, so let's dive into some from this winter's cold, blustery, white-capped ways. Nothing like quick bites of literary joy to get you through the day.
Winter kissed the world
Lips as blue-white as glaciers
Stole Summer's romance
Walking through short grass
River catching red sunlight
Squirrel cries out above
Catch sunrise at dawn
On a phone used for staring
Share it with you all
Awaken to snow
Land buried, a silent wake
Wake again...all gone
Crushed leaves blow about
Waste of Autumn, last year's Spring
Beauty in decay
Small songbirds flitter
among stunted grass, dull reeds
Surviving til Spring
They say might is strength,
What has more might than the peace
Of a calm river?
