My WIP Black, White, & Gray: Neo-Gothic Tales From The Abandon is an anthology talking about Gaslit Abandon, a desaturated neighborhood in Railroad City. The hood was taken over by alt subcultures in the early 90s, with Goths being a large part of the community. Since most of these folks are artists, they began remodeling the old hood into something more fitting to their tastes. This came about right after the Rail experienced its most horrid decade, the 80s, when super-violent paranormals ripped apart much of the city and made much of the darker Bronze Age of comics look tame.
So, I got up this morning and began toying on Nightcafe with images of the Abandon and its locals. As I got some images that were neat, and new faces that will become characters in the anthology, I felt the urge to use these images to pen some Gaslit Abandon haiku.
Let's do it.
