I recently (in the past couple of months) began creating art again after some time away (to fully compost the energy of the Stone + Shadow Oracle), and I wanted to share a few of the creations with you all.

You could search everywhere
you ever thought to look,
walk right up to the edge
of a vastness that reaches beyond
all reason and imagination,
listen for hidden messages
in the great symphonies of old
carried through melodic currents
echoing through generations
singing through time,
spiral back down
and then up again
the world ebbing and flowing
brimming and refracting
and still you would not find it
the answer that waits
in the quiet unadorned sanctum
of your heart.
there is a place
your soul is sure it remembers
almost but not quite
the only evidence
of it ever existing
is the ache
in your chest
unfillable
echoes of longing
through empty space
a nagging suspicion of exile
Deep down you know
there is no way back
but your heart never stops
searching
yearning
standing at the edge of
what it will never understand
waiting for reunion.
The treasure you seek
flashes in the dreamtime edges
just beyond the horizons
of what you can see
or imagine from here
always a step away
hiding in the periphery
buried in the mundane
lost in liminality
or maybe
right here
but down into the core
of what has always been
waiting, watching
can you reach down?
extend your roots?
make room enough
to hold
what was always meant for you?
