What did it take
To arouse such discontent
With its lush surroundings
That it would
Devise a scheme
To escape its confines
And set out to journey
To the other side of the fence.
To twist and bend
This way and that
More and more each day
Finally stretching
Towards the sun
Bursting forth its red blooms
On the other side of the fence
To live among the rocks and weeds.
