Star bunny!

May 02, 2025

Today (5/2/2025), we moved Star Bunny's cage (our rabbit) to the back of the yard. We did this so that we could see her from inside and so the shavings wouldn’t spill around the hot tub. We are trying to add tunnels and hidey holes, but she keeps moving stuff around. We want her to be out of direct sunlight so she doesn’t overheat. I bring her out of her cage to run around in the house, the aviary, or just sit on my lap, either on the deck or inside the house. I am working on taming her so I can pick her up and hopefully bring her inside more. I have to be careful letting her free range anymore because she digs. Two reasons this is a problem: 1) she could collapse it on herself, and 2) she could get stuck, and we can’t find her (which would suck).

I have a channel I enjoy watching right now; it’s called Cinnabun. There is this lady who owns the channel, and she does videos about her Holland Lop (what Star Bunny is). She is very experienced, and her bunny is super tame, so I look up to her for tips for my bun. I also have a Discord server called "For Pet's Sake," where I can ask questions and chat with other bunny owners about what’s best for our buns.

I had a great time this morning moving Star's cage and rearranging it with Mom. Dad is off taking a test on Oahu, so we were able to double-team it when we lifted it. We put a little cat tunnel with a scratch pad in there, along with a stool to hop on. We ended up taking out the stool because she kept flipping it around.

I got a 33/36 score on my math today and a 13/14 on my high school health test. I am feeling very happy about my medical terminology and my biology now because I’m understanding it. 9th grade is fun and hard, but I can push through. I feel proud to be a freshman when I’m 12.
