(2) Pokemon of the week ⚡

(2) Pokemon of the week ⚡

Mar 26, 2025

It's been ten days since the last "Pokemon of the week" challenge so I thought I should bring it back this week! I might as well feature my second favorite pokemon this week. The one and only Morpeko! Morpeko was introduced in the Sword and Shield era and has been a cute little monster ever since. Half dark type, half lightning type makes for quite the combo. Now for the challenges:

  • I must do the amount of push-ups equal to his Pokédex number this week 😳. That means I must have them done by next Wednesday! Follow along if you like 😄—together, we will be the strongest Pokémon fans.

  • I must show a pic of my favorite Morpeko card in his honor.

  • And last but not least, I will say what set he was introduced in originally. Nice job, Morpeko.🤙

Let me look Morpekos pokedex number 😏

Oh no! I have seven days and if I do a hundred push ups everyday it doest cut it. Looks like I'm going to get a lot stronger!

126 push ups a day, not bad! By next wednesday I will be prepared for what's coming in the future. (seriously! We have so much planned for the next couple months, crazy pokedex entries and thousands of push ups! Follow along and tune in to my wide variety of content 6 days a week! Giveaways, store items and even pack openings.) I will start push-uping today! 🙃

Next step! I don't have a "single" favorite Morpeko card, instead I have a complete two pages of Morpeko cards in which I adore. Morpeko is just the cutest little guy but he takes his job very seriously as you can see in the cards. The second v union is by far my favorite (second pic) with the adorable expression.

Last but certainly not least, Morpekos origin story:

Morpeko first appeared in Sword and Shield base set with four different cards; a common, a V, Vmax and an ultra rare V card. I own all of these cards from Sword and Shield and you can see them in the first picture. Morpeko has been seen in the "Pokemon Journeys" anime and in the Sword and Shield games, in which Marnie uses Morpeko.

Bonus:

I have actually been collecting Morpeko cards for quite a while now and I have two more cards I would like to share.

Both of these cards were gifted to me by very kind individuals, they are very special to me and sit atop my shelf by my desk. (Will show the full thing in the near future) If you're not familiar, the card to the left is a Japanese shiny card, grade 9 by psa. The one to the right is an english Morpeko V from Brilliant Stars and is in the grade 8.5 from CGC. Both are great grading companies and look amazing on a Morpeko card but if I HAD to choose, I would pick the psa 9 Morpeko.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my post! Means alot to me! Have a nice day and I will see you tomorrow!
