I'm Pálma, the founder of Purls by Palma. I'm 28 years old and working as mechanical engineer. I learnt the basics of knitting in high school, but knitting became my passion definitively 2 years ago.

From the beginning it was very important for me to use something new in every project which makes them more and more beautiful. I got strong basis from my mother, the rest comes from books, blogs, YouTube videos and Facebook groups, so from every available online and offline sources.

After a while my mother and I noticed that I no longer ask help from her, I started to give her tips and tricks. It happened not because "the student became better than the master", it happened because there are no good sources available for useful, fast, simple and understandable materials or videos in Hungarian, or just for beginners.

After the realization of this situation I got the idea to start a blog that has the main goal to help beginner and advanced knitters with understandable and clear content. It is very important to me to create these contents with best quality possible, in Hungarian and in English too. Although these kind of content is in Hungarian incomplete, I hope it can be useful for some knitters in English too.

All published contents are free on my website, however for creating them I need resources. Furthermore I would like to present my ideas in even better quality for you.

Pálma vagyok, a Purls by Palma megálmodója. 28 éves vagyok és gépészmérnökként dolgozom. Középiskolás koromban ismerkedtem meg a kötés alapjaival és nagyjából 2 éve vált végérvényesen szenvedélyemmé.

Már kezdettől fogva nagy hangsúlyt fektettem arra, hogy a kötős projektiem során mindig használjak valamilyen új technikát, amivel szebb eredményt érhetek el. Az erős alapokat Anyukámtól tanultam, a többit pedig könyvekből, blogokról, YouTube videókból és Facebook csoportokból lestem el, egyszóval minden elérhető digitális és offline forrásból.

Egy idő után arra lettünk figyelmesek Anyukámmal, hogy már nem én kérek tőle segítséget, hanem én adok tippeket neki. Ennek nem az az oka, hogy "túlnőttem a mestert", hanem magyar nyelven korlátozottan elérhetők hasznos, gyorsan kereshető, egyszerű és érthető leírások, videók, vagy csak kezdő kötőknek szólnak.

Ennek a felismerésnek hatására fogalmazódott meg bennem a blog ötlete, aminek a fő célja, hogy jól érthető, letisztult tartalmakkal segítse a kezdő és tapasztalt kötőket. Fontos számomra, hogy ezek a tartalmak jó minőségben, magyarul és angolul is megjelenjenek.

Már azzal is sokat segítesz, ha követed a Facebook, esetleg az Instagram oldalamat és visszajelzéseket adsz a tartalmakkal kapcsolatban.

A blogon található minden tartalom ingyenes, azonban az elkészítésükhöz szükségem van erőforrásokra. Továbbá szeretném, ha az ötleteimet egyre jobb és jobb minőségben prezentálhatnám számodra.
