I've been looking for a way to tie all my various creative projects into a single project for over a decade. Some of the creative projects I work on regularly include:
Creating Wall Art from Photoshop (been working with Photoshop since 1991)
Music Production (been producing music professionally since 1987)
Sheet Music Publishing (been writing sheet music old style by hand since 1982, but didn't publish my first book until 2021) - Note that most people HEAR the music. Some people LISTEN to the music. Few people SEE the music, and that's what sheet music provides to the few - the ability to SEE the music - no mushrooms required.
Story Telling (I have published over 500 articles in my name and another 22,000+ as a ghost writer, admittedly with horrible grammar. One article in particular went uncorrected for about 7 years before someone pointed out that when I specified the reader to "bare with me" that I was actually asking the readers to take their clothes off with me as I was baring all. lol)
Game Design and Publishing (I have been creating games since I was a kid, and have a few still published to this day, and I may kick this back into gear sooner than later as time permits.)
Video Production and Publishing (I got into this at age 17 in the age of leased access television where I had access to top of the line equipment and produced my own television show, but due to the content, which was basically me going to the bums under Key Bridge in Georgetown and interviewing the drunks, was frowned upon by the powers that were... I thought they had some interesting perspectives on life, especially at age 17. I did get their verbal permission to be recorded actually recorded before the recordings, as required by law. I had it together legally, even back then.)
Information Architecture (I dropped my dream of a career in music when my son was born and found a way into programming to support my family back in 1996. I quickly became an information architect for large corporations and government agencies until 2006, and when I retired, which to me means no income and taking a break to focus on my creative projects until the money runs out. I will build a statistics system for the performance of the various marbles in the marble races, which can be used to rate them later. They all have an equal chance at scoring, but RAMDOM is something I love, and none will be the same, and like games, there is a rule for every possibility, and always a winner and a runner up, and losers. Note that the runner ups are always the most celebrated losers.)
Marketing (I wrote a book on marketing back in 2009, and many of the 26 chapters are still applicable today, such as "Content Is King" - it was published on Lulu until the upgraded their terms of service. I hate upgrades.)
All in all, I'm basically starting over. I don't have time to do everything myself, but it's hard to find people that are as good as their word to help. One of the key concepts I learned in 2021 (and before as I lost about 14,000 samples in 2014 due to 2 external hard drive crashes) is that I need to use it or lose it... If I don't keep using each and every one of my skills, it takes forever to relearn them, so I have created the Marbles Lost and Found project to keep them ALL tuned up. Tune in and have a good laugh, and enjoy the show!
