sigh, ok we can get to the 30 year old stuff now. To be honest, I do not know how artists do it. We make the art (that is the content), THEN create content (the Tiktoks/IG reels that have you on your app for 45 minutes dealing with terrible UI).
Then set up ALL your files in a multitude of ways for printing. Hustle to find venues. GO and set up and sell at venues.
And also run online shops where websites take huge cuts of your money because they can? woof.
ALL THAT SAID, I will be re-opening my Etsy shop after these cons. I'm planning on trying to streamline some of the methods to make my time to go mostly art, as it always should be. I love art! I want to make more! I want it to be in a way where someone buys it and enjoys it! Thats why mousepads feel like such a fit for me, I feel like I can help supply one to everyone haha.
But time is a commodity...
So hitting 30, doing all those things, while working full time, WHILE unpacking the house, Its put me in a bit of a mental state where I want to improve my art but I feel like I'm letting myself get away with not doing it. I still want to tackle all the fun stuff! But eventually I do want bigger other projects, so I think literally 30 to 31 will be me trying to find a way to be a better artist while not sacrificing the selling part.
Thats where the gays come in!
A project I started in 2020, I began drawing my favorite pairs together as Pokémon trainers. One was in part to practice 2-person compositions, while exploring my prior struggles with sexuality. I managed to knock a few off this month! with Vi & Cait from Arcane, which is not Pokemon I'll admit, I have a different piece coming some day, and my first Male/Male pair from Promare Lio & Galo! These were excellent breaks after the sheer ferocity of trying to do the ghost pokemon pattern in a week haha.
Anyway! This post was way too long, so I'll update sometime again this month to go over crafty shit and my actual home unboxing updates lol
