πŸ‘΅ INFLAMMAGING & ADIPAGING πŸ‘΄

βœ… Inflammaging and Adipaging are concepts derived from the close interconnection between Obesity, Inflammation, and Aging.

- As people age, physiological changes occur in the body that contribute to increased levels of inflammation, predisposing individuals to Age-related Diseases.

- Likewise, Obesity, which is also common in Aging, presents alterations in Adipose Tissue that promote changes and diseases similar to those observed in the Aging process.

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ The similarities between these conditions have led to the creation of two concepts for their research and study: Inflammaging and Adipaging.

- These two emerging concepts have become important elements in the study of Aging and Age-related Diseases, as well as in research on Obesity and the metabolic behavior of adipose tissue (primarily Visceral Adipose Tissue – VAT).

- On the one hand, Inflammaging refers to Chronic Low-grade Systemic Inflammation that gradually intensifies with age, beginning in adulthood, and contributing to the development of numerous Aging-related Diseases, such as Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, and Neurodegenerative Disorders.

- On the other hand, Adipaging refers to the Metabolic and Functional alterations of Adipose Tissue that lead to Inflammation and the subsequent development of Age-related Diseases, similar to those that occur during Aging.

- Obesity shares many similarities with the normal Aging process, such as Chronic Inflammation and Multi-system Alterations.
Both conditions, Adipaging and Inflammaging, are closely related, even sharing common Metabolic and Pathophysiological pathways.
- Furthermore, they release similar Pro-inflammatory factors, secreted by Adipose Tissue in Obesity, and by Senescent Cells during Aging.

- Chronic Low-grade Systemic inflammation resulting from adipose tissue dysfunction in Obesity follows a process similar to that observed in chronic inflammation associated with Aging, contributing to the development of Age-related Diseases in Obesity.
- For this reason, it has been termed Adipaging.

- We emphasize that Adipaging does not refer just to the Aging of adipose tissue per se.
- Rather, the concept of Adipaging refers to the common links between these two conditions, suggesting that Obesity may lead to Premature Aging due to Adipose Tissue Dysfunction.

- The close interconnection between these processes perpetuates Inflammation as the Core of Both Conditions, as well as the development of Age-related Diseases, which can occur in both Aging and Obesity.......
