Хто мы

Мы — беларуская праваслаўная супольнасць капліцы св. Рыгора Перадзэ ў Варшаве (Польская аўтакефальная праваслаўная царква). Ад сакавіка 2023 года мы служым Боскую літургію па-беларуску ў Варшаве і развіваем царкоўныя спевы на беларускай мове.

На што пойдуць сродкі

Ахвяраванні ідуць на развіццё беларускамоўнага праваслаўнага набажэнства:

• адаптацыю літургічных твораў пад беларускую мову (аплата працы музыкаў і кампазітараў)

• стварэнне электронных нот (аплата апраграмавання)

• музычную і моўную карэктуру

• дызайн і вёрстку нотных зборнікаў

• друк і распаўсюд.

Нашыя планы

Да канца 2027 года (а спадзяёмся — і раней) мы плануем выдаць:

• нотны зборнік літургій св. Яна Златаўста і св. Васіля Вялікага

• велікодны нотны зборнік.

У будучыні ўсе ноты, створаныя ў межах гэтага праекта, будуць выкладзеныя анлайн у адкрытым доступе.

Мы таксама плануем:

🎼 ноты да Раства Хрыстовага і іншых вялікіх святаў.

Чаму гэта важна?

Нашыя памкненні абумоўленыя падтрымкай натуральнага існавання беларускай мовы ў Праваслаўнай царкве. Асабліва ў нашыя часы, калі беларуская мова ў Беларусі знаходзіцца ва ўразлівым стане.

Пасля набыцця Беларуссю незалежнасці дагэтуль не была створаная дастатковая нотная інфрастуктура на беларускай мове для набажэнстваў у Праваслаўнай царкве.

Праект мае вялікае значэнне, паколькі ўсё больш беларусаў цяпер жыве па-за межамі сваёй краіны, і беларуская мова богаслужэння пакідае іх у культурна-лінгвістычнай арбіце Радзімы.

Наша дзейнасць накіраваная таскама на тое, каб літургічная візантыйская спадчына стала больш зразумелай ды блізкай для нас і нашых дзяцей, паколькі цяпер, як і многія стагоддзі да гэтага, мова набажэнстваў у беларускіх праваслаўных цэрквах — няродная царкоўнаславянская. Усходнехрысціянская Царква мае багатую паэтычную літургічную спадчыну, аднак моўны бар’ер не заўсёды дае поўнае асэнсаванне ідэяў ды пасланняў, якія ўкладаліся выбітнымі паэтамі, тэолагамі і філосафамі ў тэксты для тлумачэння біблейскіх падзеяў, сюжэтаў і тэалагічных канцэптаў. Разуменне гэтых тэкстаў наблізіць многіх да жывых адносін з Богам.

BELARUSIAN ORTHODOX MUSIC PROJECT

First in history we have recorded and published the album (36 tracks) of Eastern Christian Paschal chants in Belarusian and prepared the musical scores, and we are now working on new collections of sheet music.

The free access to the Easter Album is here, also at streaming platforms (Spotify, AppleMusic, Youtube etc) - 🔎 «Праваслаўны Вялікдзень».

Who we ara

We are the Belarusian Orthodox community of the Chapel of St. Gregory Peradze in Warsaw (Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church). Since March 2023, we have been celebrating the Divine Liturgy in Belarusian in Warsaw and developing church chant in the Belarusian language.

 

What we have accomplished over the past few years:

📖 a Belarusian translation of Paschal texts of the Orthodox tradition

🎧 a professional recording of 36 tracks for the Paschal album

🎼 sheet music for the Paschal service

•   by donating in person at the parish and receiving a USB drive or postcard there (address: Warszawa, ul. Lelecowska 5, during services; schedule available here)

What the funds will be used for

Donations go toward the development of Belarusian-language Orthodox worship:

• adaptation of liturgical works to the Belarusian language (payment for musicians and composers)

• creation of electronic sheet music (software development)

• musical and linguistic editing

• design and layout of sheet music collections

• printing and distribution

 

Our plans

By the end of 2027 (and hopefully earlier) we plan to publish:

• a collection of sheet music for the Liturgies of St. John Chrysostom and St. Basil the Great

• a Paschal sheet music collection.

In the future, all sheet music created within this project will be published online in open access.

We also plan:

🎧 new audio recordings

🎼 sheet music for the Nativity of Christ and other major feasts.

Support the development of Orthodox liturgical chant in Belarusian!

 

Why is this important? 

Our efforts are motivated by supporting the natural existence of the Belarusian language in the Orthodox Church, especially in our time, when the Belarusian language in Belarus is in a vulnerable state.

After Belarus gained independence, sufficient musical infrastructure in the Belarusian language for services in the Orthodox Church has still not been created.

The project is of great importance because more and more Belarusians now live outside their country, and the Belarusian language of worship keeps them within the cultural and linguistic orbit of their homeland.

Our work is also aimed at making the Byzantine liturgical heritage more understandable and closer to us and our children, because today — as for many centuries before — the language of worship in Belarusian Orthodox churches is the non-native Church Slavonic.

The Eastern Christian Church has a rich poetic liturgical heritage, however the language barrier does not always allow a full understanding of the ideas and messages that outstanding poets, theologians, and philosophers placed into the texts in order to explain biblical events, narratives, and theological concepts.

Understanding these texts will bring many people closer to a living relationship with God.
