About Practicing Frank
I am a London-based maker, poet, live artist and Butoh dancer. Their work explores the body as material, the poetic body and invocation of transcendence. If you like those things, would you support my work and buy me a coffee?
What if I told you I am heavily influenced by the lineage of Kazuo Ohno, and lifeworks of Tehching Hsieh? And that I create durational work that blends live art task-based approach, and the deep listening Butoh body which together invite the viewer to come back home to the present moment and the body.
My work has been featured in the Marina Abramović retrospective in the Royal Academy of Art in London, Royal Albert Hall, Brighton's Adelaide Salon in Brighton Pavillion, London Decompression, L’age D’or surrealist art salon; as well as local galleries and events across London, Brighton, Berlin, Florence and Agropoli. Currently they are the artist in residence for the Art of Darkness collective.
This work is such a joy to be able to do, but often doesn't pay at all. If you love art and want to support me, I'd be so grateful!
More information on my art and practice can be found at via instagram @practicingfrank, and on my website at: www.practicingfrank.com
