Hey everybody!
I wanted everyone to get a good idea of who I am and what this is/ the projects to come!
My name is JP Haley, I’m an artist born in Kansas City, raised in Grandview, and currently living in Springfield Missouri (a unique town to say the least). I’ve been making art since i was 3, making films since 2010, and music for about 6 years now.
I’ve always been a creative person at heart and definitely was the kid that bounced from hobby to hobby, but my hobbies always included art (except for Tae Kwan Do which I did for 3 years or so. It counts for me because i did it to be in movies like Bruce Lee haha).
Now a college graduate and “adult” (i guess), I wanted to find a way to combine all of my interests in the arts and create something new for the world, drawing a lot of inspiration from multi media artists such as Donald Glover.
Povee Halo is my attempt at bringing that to life - not only is it my stage name for my music, but it is the name of the protagonist for my series going by the same name. I grew up on feel god movies and shonen anime, and my love for music (especially hip hop) started as a kid but certainly grew with me as I got older. Povee Halo is a guy who isn’t human. He doesn’t belong on earth, but to a world called “Enecia”, and we follow him as we learn who he really is, how he fits on Earth and Enecia, and how a young adult can navigate through life no matter their story.
My goal is to create projects that combine short films, art and illustration, comics and manga, and music to bring the audience an EXPERIENCE.
