ARC Review: Finn by Melanie Moreland
Finn by Melanie Moreland is a romantic suspense novel and the first installment in The Irishmen series.
Finn O’Reilly is a powerful member of the syndicate with multiple business ventures under his control. He’s currently managing the hotel where the woman he loves, Una Murphy, works. Una has stolen his heart, but she refuses to be part of the dangerous world he inhabits. Despite her resistance, Finn is determined to protect her—even from her own brother. But when Una finds herself in grave danger, will Finn be able to save her? And more importantly, can he convince her to stay in his life forever?
This is a beautiful story about love, family, and the perilous reality of mafia life. The book is well-written and holds your attention from beginning to end. It features a second-chance romance, as Finn and Una have a shared past. The narrative alternates between present and past, giving deeper insight into their story and emotional connection.
The chemistry between Finn and Una is palpable—it feels as though no time has passed between them. They may differ in some ways, but when it comes to loyalty and protection, they’re perfectly aligned. I was thrilled to see appearances from two other couples featured in previous books. One of my favorite moments—and the one that brought me to tears—was the redemption of Una’s brother.
If you enjoy romantic suspense with strong emotional depth and a compelling love story, Finn is a must-read.
