Dear God, Thank you for the gift of a new day and the opportunity to step into another week. Thank you for bringing us this far and for every lesson, protection and blessing that came with the days behind us.
As we begin again, we place this entire week into your hands. Clear our minds, steady our hearts and help us move forward without being controlled by yesterday’s disappointments or tomorrow’s fears.
Lord, go before us in every place we will enter and in every conversation we will have. Give us wisdom when choices are not obvious, patience when things do not happen as quickly as we want and courage when we are asked to step outside our comfort zones.
Help us recognise opportunities that are truly meant for us and give us the discipline to make the most of them. Where we have been discouraged, breathe new determination into us. Where we have been uncertain, give us clarity.
Father, I pray for the person beginning this week with financial pressure, unanswered questions or a heavy heart. Make a way where they cannot yet see one. For the one searching for work, open the right door.
For the one building a business, bring progress and favour. For the one studying, working or pursuing a dream, reward their effort and keep them from giving up too soon.
Let our homes experience peace, our relationships experience understanding and our efforts produce results that bring genuine joy.
May this week carry unexpected moments of goodness. Let difficult situations turn in our favour, let delayed answers begin to move and let good news reach us at the right time.
Protect us from decisions that could cost us our peace, from people who do not have good intentions and from opportunities that look attractive but are not good for us.
As we walk into this new week, remind us that we do not have to have everything figured out today. We only need to trust you, take the next right step and keep moving.
May this day mark the beginning of a week filled with purpose, progress, peace and reasons to be grateful.
