CHAPTER ONE
RYAH
A smile crossed my lips as I flung my naked body across the spacious bed. As much as I looked forward to the bachelorette party. Well, really, I didn’t. Sabrina rubbed me the wrong way sometimes. I caught her looping her arm around Rocco’s at the engagement party. What was with this couple? Did she love my friend? Did he love her? Jesus, maybe.
I admit there were times since our kiss Levi stared at me longer than he should have. I sighed.
The ceremony was more of what I was looking forward to. Levi would become a married man, and Rocco would stop putting his energy into killing him.
I missed my boyfriend soon to be husband. The happy nerves blossomed in my stomach. Rocco told me I’d become his wife. Women looked forward to a man getting on bended knee and asking for their hand in marriage. Not me. Being fucked in the shower as my man told me I’d become his wife only made me wetter. He was so the man for me. Yes, Rocco would eventually get down on one knee and ask for my hand in marriage just to partake in the tradition. He claimed my body and said he’d waited so long to have me as his wife. Which meant he never wanted to wait this long to get married. My heart skipped a beat again.
“Rocco.” His name fell from my lips.
After Levi and Sabrina’s ceremony, Rocco and I would continue to enjoy the island.
A heavy fist pounded the door of the villa.
“One moment.”
I hopped to my feet and jumped into a sexy bra and panties set. “Coming.”
Then I slinked on the sexy coral sleeveless mini dress.
The persistent knuckles rattled the door again. I slipped the holster up my thigh and shoved the twenty-two inside.
“I’m coming,” I barked, grabbing my Glock off the desk as I walked to the door.
Rocco said we had to stay alert. Never let our guard down. He’d been watchful since the war.
I peeked out the window, then opened the door.
“Genn, what are you doing here?”
He pushed past me. I met Ameer and West's gazes. They stood guard wearing stone faced scowls.
I closed the door and glanced around the room.
“Where’s Rocco?” I hollered out.
Genn bounced from room to room. Looking for what?
“He went to the bachelor party.”
Fist on one hip, clutching the Glock in the other, I narrowed my eyes at him. “He rarely leaves without you.”
Genn halted before me. “He said I needed to stay with you because you don’t have military experienced men. Which reminds me you need to hire Art back. If he were here, I’d be on that yacht with Rocco.”
The tiny hairs stood all over my body.
“When did he order you to stay with me?”
He ran a gloved hand tightly over his hair. “It doesn’t matter. The point is I’m here.”
“Fuck that. I want to know what he said,” I yelled.
