Ended up getting my first T60 thinkpad! π€
I've now come to the conclusion that the older the computer, the more screws it contains.
I counted 56 screws removed to pull this motherboard out.
Initially I thought about recording the process - but I was winging it.
And it was something I felt I should at least do once given the unfamiliarity of this model.
I'm just surprised I removed almost 60 screws just to get the motherboard out.
IT'S OLD
Yes, it's quite aged. Almost 20 years!
Yet was bought from someone who had kept it stored - it was truly immaculately clean inside.
Though on the plus side, this was one of the last thinkpads directly prior to the release of Intel Management Engine - something most people never asked for, with some remote concerns (AMT).
I'm going to find a good home distro, gnu / Linux, maybe BSD for it.
Something light - only came with 2GB RAM! π«
