Anonymously Browse Twitter/Youtube/Street Maps/Wiki

Want to browse Twitter/Youtube in a more private way from a proxy-like environment?

We can use "front ends" like Invidious (Youtube) and Nitter (Twitter) to load the content/pages/searches and video content for us.

Let's take this a step further.

How about the ability to browse Youtube and Twitter from Tor ?

Let's take this concept yet another step... even further.

How about browsing Twitter and Youtube using federated Invidious/Nitter front ends over Tor...
as a Hidden Service.

What about making this process automated?

(It can be a bit annoying to have to translate YT/TW links one by one)

Automated as in the idea of all Youtube links automatically being switched over to Tor Hidden Service Invidious links anytime you click them.

And all Twitter links automatically switched to Nitter Hidden Service links?

There's a way to do that:

We can use a Firefox addon called "Privacy-Redirect"

Here is a screenshot of the Privacy-Redirect extension (shown on Pinephone):

Here is an example screenshot browsing Youtube as a Tor Hidden (.onion) Service,

And an example screenshot of Twitter using Nitter front end as a Tor Hidden Service,

Privacy-Redirect automatically handles all Twitter/Youtube links and converts them to Invidious/Nitter front ends on Firefox.

What is even better is when you install this extension into Tor Browser, you receive the onion Hidden Service links automatically to add an additional layer of "front end" to the end of the hidden service node layers + Tor Onion (+ additional End-To-End Encryption between the Tor clients).

[ Front Ends are pages existing specifically to protect your privacy (from policies regarding personal data sharing with advertisers: user, ip, history, etc). ]

TIP: For even more private sessions play around with Tor Browser settings to disable the unnecessary - be careful, this will break many pages today. Although sometimes you can get away with this by adding https://mobile.website to grab a generic more html-ish mobile site. :)
