The Precious Plastic movement started with the designs of plastic recycling machines being released online for everyone for free to build, adapt and modify. This allowed a huge number of enthusiasts to start recycling plastic locally, learn and teach about plastic and start moving in the right direction in the question of worldwide plastic pollution.
There is a hugely negative image of plastic. But it’s not all the fault of the material, it’s the industrial processes used to produce it. Reducing waste means changing attitudes. Only then we can implement innovations which are truly sustainable and can really make a difference. The machines allow to turn used plastic into new things and will teach you a thing or two along the way.
