About Corey Kinnan
Hiya, I’m Corey, the surly photographer behind Urban Bark Photography. My business started in 2017 as a woodworking company, and it has been growing and evolving ever since. I now spend most of my time behind a camera.
My work in photography focuses on the unseen: the places off the beaten path, the animals that fly past as we go about our lives. My work highlights slowing down and taking notice, connecting with nature in an intimate way.
Beyond photography, I am a storyteller and survivor of childhood trauma and domestic violence who uses my art to create a welcoming space for healing, growth, and connection. My mission is to help others find peace and acceptance through the power of nature and authentic storytelling.
If my photography has made you smile or rethink your relationship with nature, thank you for being here.
If my words have ever helped you through a tough time, or my sassy takedowns of the elite have ever made you crack a smile, thank you for being here.
Your support allows me to pursue my dreams. Your support allows me to step into nature, to capture the stillness of a moment. Your support gives me the freedom to be my own boss so I can say “fuck off” to those in power and advocate for those whose voices need to be amplified. Your support helps me keep the lights on.
Thank you for everything you do. I appreciate you. I wouldn’t be doing this without you.
Corey
