Hello everybody, my name is Pavel, and I'm a designer based in the world. I have 17 years of experience in design, primarily focusing on graphic and digital design. Additionally, I've been involved in several illustration projects, one of which was honored with the A'Design Award & Competition.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with notable individuals and companies. I worked with Tristan Pollock, a member of Forbes' 30 under 30 list, as well as with brands like Simple.ru (a wine retailer in Russia), Starbucks, Panasonic, BMW, Nike, SMEG, and Radugadesign. As both a designer and an illustrator, I also contributed to projects with Do Buro, Bright Buro, and Panzeri, serving as both a developer and a designer.
In 2006, I launched Peopleofdesign, initially as a blog dedicated to design in the Russian language. By 2007, our platform was attracting around 5,000 daily users. While I explored the idea of monetizing Peopleofdesign, it was not my top priority, and I chose to deactivate all advertising systems. In 2014, Peopleofdesign underwent a redesign, and I began producing content in both Russian and English.
Over the years, we've formed partnerships with several noteworthy entities, including Red Keds studio, BBDO Moscow, Ogilvy, and Fotolia (now a part of Adobe). We also supported the Setka.io project, which has since become a component of the TINY editor. In 2015, I had aspirations of transitioning to full-time freelancing, allowing me to dedicate more time to Peopleofdesign. However, reality turned out differently, and those plans didn't quite come to fruition.
SMEG
In 2018 I have met with SMEG and we signed contract for branding ad on Peopleofdesign. Their banners was on our website one year. ... It was very interesting. No big money, but I visited their showroom in Moscow. And they gifted me Kettle. Read SMEG news.
Stadler Form
In 2019 Peopleofdesign was partnered with Stadler Form. It was interesting too. On Peopleofdesign we promote their fan named Chalry... Yep, it's really cool. Read review.
And main question -> why I started the Peopleofdesign?
My live is design. I love design, I love graphic design and I like to share some interesting with the world. I have never thought about any commercial side of Peopleofdesign but I know I need to pay servers, pay CDNs, domain and other bills. And I think some monetize is not bad :)
But anyway The Peopleofdesign is the magazie/blog about design. Today we have not commercial ad banners and links.
In 2023 the Peopleofdesign will be redesigned. I will change the design of main page... And maybe I will start separate English version of Peopleofdesign.
