I grow food. When drying this harvest, a wave appeared in my head.
I quickly formed it, to emulate Hokusai's masterpiece.
The sailboard was my 'augmentation'.
Then I revisited the original print, & spotted (possibly for the first time) slim boats grappling with the swell.
Either I'm insanely clever subconsciously recalling elements of a work I saw decades ago & repurposing them in a playful (quintessentially Australian?) way,
or just lucky.
