So things have moved in an unplanned direction, and it seems that forces far more advanced in orchestrating the universe have looked down on me and smiled. My day job situation has changed. The people I work for have altered my work times giving me an extra day off in the week. This gives me more time for art creation. This was good news on its own, but then within the week I visited the local town historic enclosed market with my family and noticed as part of the building there was a 'Butchers row'. Basically an enclosed pathway flanked by small shop/workshop units that used to be butchers shops back in the day, about 20 in all. Amongst the shop units there were 3 painters, a wood turner and a stained glass workshop. There was also a spare empty unit. A quick email to the local council and I am in the process of applying for said workshop.!!! 
This will change my approach to my work totally. I will have a dedicated place to work along with dedicated time to do so, along with a literal shop window to show my work. Yes it does come with financial obligations but with tweaking other costs in my life along with opening myself up to teaching small classes and taking on commissions I think it is viable. If so this can lead to me reducing more hours in the day job in the months ahead.
Then out of the blue, to put the cherry on the cake I was approached to take on a portrait commission!!!! As I said the powers that be are smiling on me.
In other news my work is now on display at another new commercial venture in my local town. A new enterprise incorporating a hair salon, coffee shop and art gallery.
