Howdy, folks.
I've been working on the new novel for two months, mainly throughout December. This morning, I wrote the climax and epilogue, and now the first draft is finished.
The working title is Sacculina, and while I don't have a synopsis for you, imagine "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" meets "Species" on a private island, and you'll get the idea. It has the most body horror I've ever written, which might be saying something.
I have until March to whip this puppy into shape, although I think I'll probably have the beta reader version finished by February 1st. Assuming all goes well, that is. The probable publication date is sometime in March, but we'll see.
I've enjoyed writing this book since it's not a part of my existing canon (except for a slight connection with THE MEDUSA ZONE). I didn't have any pre-existing rules, and it was a blast to make them up and create my creatures. I'm looking forward to getting this one out there.
