This is just a quick thank you message to all those who supported Lana's campaign. Lana received her money a few weeks ago. We wanted to wait until she received enough to offset the high exchange fees. Also, we have to find a way to get the money directly to her account as PayPal and WISE were not feasible. In the end, we had to go through an intermediary, and she got her financial support. For those of you who know Lana, you can contact her directly to confirm. Or you can find her on Instagram.
Things are far from over for Lana and others in Gaza. In the meantime, I set up another support line for Lana here. This Buymeacoffee account will be revised to my personal account.
By the way, for those who plan on visiting Cairo and need local language and cultural support, please check out The Itchy Olive's "CAIRO CONNECT." It's essentially a matching system where we pair visitors to Cairo with local Palestinians who were displaced from Gaza. They can assist you in your tourism activities. Link here.
Again, thank you to all those who contributed to Lana's "coffee."
