Been a while so time for an update! Ordered some Pantone postcards and thought “wouldn’t it be cool to match the Pantone color card to a character with gouache?”. And here‘s my first attempt! I’m recovering from surgery so I can’t do digital work as long as I usually can, so I’ve really been getting into gouache. I used transparent gesso over the plain card, using this as the color for Blitzwing’s tan and only adding highlights or shadows over top. I sort of toned down the blue and purples to match the saturation level of the card. I’m really happy with it! There’s 99 more cards but I’m not in a rush to finish them, haha. I’ve got two more digital comms to catch up on so I’ll get back to it! ✌️
Oh yes! Can’t forget the Red Alert painting I made! It was the first gouache thing i ever did [cold press watercolor paper]. i made it pretty soon after i came home from the hospital haha. I’m proud of this one too.
