My mind is a blur as of late and most likely I am in denial about all the things I need to accomplish in the next few months with moving to New Orleans. Oh well.
(some rose shrub I shot at the Descanso Gardens in S. California 8/2023)
Anyhow I am trying to break down areas that people who come here might be interested in. So they don't have to be bogged down going through my ranting and rambling on about Old Hotels, or what I am reading. The how I don't know what I am doing trying to put together on YouTube. They are interested in my building a garden. I would like to inject here that building a garden is sort of similar to building a community which then relates to building a presence on social media and how it is all interwoven and then some and how you should care but really WHY? I mean I am just one guy who has too much time on his hands and not the means to support these grand ideas and why would anyone else want to if I can't. All this self doubt just seeps up and I feel like some struggling Iris trying to bloom in the dark while standing in a muddy sludge bed. There is some analogy being made but I will not sort that out as it will end up a poorly written book if I attempt it.
Now back to the gardening this is where I will focus on the planning and then execution of said hap-hazard plotting and digging about Trying and failing and then learning and trying again. So while this is a "public post for now" the thought is to create one or two membership levels to help support this garden. Off set the costs of plants. Many trials and errors mean killing many plants in the process and learning the lay of the land, the path of the sun and where the wet spots are. Upkeep that includes initial outlay for Tools, shovels and hoes and rakes. As well as Fish Slop fertilizer Bone meal, potash, stuff like that. Organic pest control if I can make that work and fungicides. Compost and soil amendments. wheel barrel ect. So any help I can get along those lines is great.
So all this goes into addressing why I am doing Buy Me A Coffee in the first place. Build a community and one hopefully helps support projects they get pleasure from or have an interest in. So eventually Garden Journal will become a member supported area of BMaC with some public post now and again to tie all of it together into the community at large!
I hope this makes some sense as it is just an initial post as I trying to organize my thoughts and include others who like to see that process.(Selfie as I take a quick break walking about the Descanso Gardens in S. Cal. 8/23)
So please note Garden Member areas are coming soon!
