Let's talk about food and entertainments.

City Lake (another name is Stanislav Sea) is located near Shevchenko Park. It is the largest artificial reservoir in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. The area of its water surface is 36 hectares, the depth is from 2.5 to 5 m. The lake was built in 1955.

The City Lake has become a favorite recreation spot for local residents and guests of Ivano-Frankivsk. It is very pleasant to walk around the lake, go fishing, and in the summer - swim on a hot day.

Picturesque landscapes of the lake give it romance and mystery. By the way, you can rent a boat here, and the Love bridge connects the shore of the lake with the Island of Lovers. It is interesting that the latter has the shape of a heart. There are stone paths, benches, and lanterns on the island.

By the way, one circle around the reservoir is 3 kilometers.

The history of the creation of the lake is very interesting. Long before the establishment of the city public park, there was already a private park of the Romashkan barons on the southern outskirts of Stanislavov. These representatives of the Moldavian noble family owned a small palace and the surrounding territory. They ennobled it, planted flowers, decorative bushes, etc. The pearl of the baronial estates was a pond almost opposite the palace. It has survived to this day and is known as Swan Lake - with a small island on which stands a wooden house for birds.

It is not known exactly when that pond was dug, but it is already there on the map of 1848. A local newspaper for 1879 writes that in winter the entrepreneur Luchynsky rented a pond from the barons and set up the only ice rink in the city there. It is clear that it was paid. He charged men 10 cents for admission during the day, and 25 cents in the evenings, when the music was playing. Women and children had discounts. In the summer, the reservoir was also not idle - the knights rented boats and wound the wheels, rolling the dams.

German Lake is the second largest lake in Ivano-Frankivsk. It is located in the Pasichna neighborhood, and at first glance, it has little in common with Germany.

In the early 1980s, German builders built a regional hospital complex on Pasichnaya in Frankivsk. During the construction of the hospital (and the whole neighborhood), gravel, sand mixture and water were taken from the pit (which was at the site of the lake).

Because of the German builders, the popular name of the lake was fixed - Nymetske(German).

After a walk through the ancient streets of Ivano-Frankivsk and getting to know its stories and legends, a completely natural desire to have a snack will arise. Here are some interesting options.

One of the famous restaurants of Ivano-Frankivsk is "Desyatka".

"Desyatka" is a bistro, an establishment that offers traditional dishes of Ukrainian and European cuisine made from fresh, high-quality products and with love from chefs. In particular, zhurek, goulash, holonka, beer wings, "Gypsy joy" derun, specialty roast meat, lamb, grilled sausages, banosh, krovyanka, dumplings, our own pickles, etc. Always fresh draft beer.

A great place to hide from the scorching sun in the summer, and a cozy covered terrace in the winter. Friendly staff and delicious dishes will leave you with unforgettable emotions after visiting this place.

If you are a fan of coffee, we recommend that you enjoy this drink at the "Profiterole"

In Ivano-Frankivsk there is also an establishment of the "Other" network of Yevgeny Klopotenko and Inna Popereshniuk, co-founders of the "Nova poshta" company.

"Others. Park" opened its doors in the premises located near the park named after T. G. Shevchenko, between the football stadium and the city fountain.

"General Zaluzhny's chicken" is on the menu.

"Legend Pub" is not only a place for food and drinks - it is a small world of games and entertainment.

The assortment of delicious European dishes, successfully complemented by our domestic and Italian pizzas, gives an opportunity not only to have a hearty lunch and dinner, but also to celebrate any event.

Pub "Bochka" - a quiet pub in the basement of one of the old buildings on the market square of Ivano-Frankivsk.

The medieval interior is complemented by antique accents, soft light and decoration with natural stone and wood.

One of my favorite - "White Fox".

The convenient location of the institution - in the very center of the city - deserves special attention. And thanks to the large panoramic windows from the 5th floor, you will have incredible views of the entire city.

This is an interesting "highlight" of "White Fox" and a significant advantage of the institution.

COPPER HEAD is a restaurant-brewery, where advanced technologies and age-old brewing traditions are combined. Since the beginning of the opening, about 30 different types of beer have been brewed, including classic types and types with the addition of various fruits and long-term aging.

For seven years now, the pub has been actively working to ensure that craft beer lovers throughout Ukraine can taste delicious beer.

The family restaurant "Hata Bagata" is an institution of Ukrainian cuisine in the very center of Ivano-Frankivsk. The menu, based on the best traditions of Ukrainian cuisine, will help you enjoy the taste of homemade dishes.

Brewery "Bartik beer" - a good place to drink beer and watch football!

Hartenberg Passage is an architectural landmark of local importance in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

But very tasty and nutritious breakfasts are served here!

And you can try the signature "Frankivsk cake" at Delikacia!

Most of the establishments are very close to the Town Hall. You don't have to look for a long time for a place where you can eat deliciously.

So plan a trip to this small, but beautiful and tasty city!
