“The merchants of the earth are in tears and mourn for her, because no one buys their stock anymore; a supply of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls, linen, purple, silk and scarlet; all kinds of fragrant wood; various objects of ivory, precious wood, copper, iron and marble; cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh and frankincense, wine, oil, flour and wheat; cattle, sheep, horses and wagons; bodies and souls of people. (...).
And all the helmsmen and coasters and the boatmen and all the other sailors kept their distance, and, seeing the smoke of her burning, cried out, What city can rival the great city? They threw dust upon their heads, and cried weeping and lamenting: Woe, woe, the great city, which by her treasures made rich all who had ships in the sea; for in one hour it is destroyed. Rejoice over her, heaven with your saints and apostles and prophets! For God has executed your sentence on her.
A mighty angel lifted up a stone as great as a millstone, and threw it into the sea, saying: With such violence shall Babylon the great city be cast down; she will never be found again. (...) THE SYSTEM DESTROYS ITSELF
The world economy, prosperity, the banking system, all trade has come to a standstill. Sellers mourn the decline in sales and the stocks they are left with. Customers complain about the growing shortages. There are forces at work that are deliberately bogging down the entire System. Our bank accounts are empty. We lose our possessions. In the eyes of our rulers, we humans turn out to be no more than handy machines or products to be traded. Our freedom was based on air and emptiness. Grinding and squeaking, all the once well-oiled wheels of the mechanical world view come to a halt.
Step by step we let ourselves be carried away by the temptations of science and technology. But we forgot our inner knowledge and our living intuition. And so the Beast that grew within us turned against us. The Beast stands before us and it is within us. Whoever wants to play god by putting God aside becomes a caricature of God and turns into a monstrous Dragon. A dragon who, with sweet-voiced words, leads the lost humanity even further astray.
We thought we could live carefree with a lot of luxury and technical gadgets around us. With countless fashion stores and supermarkets. But we didn't see how all this could only exist thanks to nature crying and letting itself be abused and poisoned. And thanks to the many slaves who gave us a luxurious life for a small wage. And how the rich ladies and gentlemen of this earth could make themselves even richer through the oil trade, the drug trade, the human trade, the organ trade, the arms industry, the sex industry, the guru business...
