For young girls, Prom is usually one of the biggest things in their lives. In 2020 (pre-world shutdown), I managed to dress up this lovely young woman for their Filipiniana-themed prom. ☺️
She wanted the silhouette to be a little more princess than Filipiniana, so we opted to make the structured butterfly sleeves a bit poufier, but still maintaining the terno inspiration, for a more Princess-styled treatment.
Pastel was her color scheme of choice, and we went with sage green Mikado silk, with hand-sewn sparkling pink lace and some crystals for good measure. We also tied everything up at the waist with a velvet bow (in maroon).😍
This gown also has my signature pockets, (most women always request for the pockets, I do see it as a pretty handy feature, myself).
