The history of Chandragiri Fort dates back to the 11th century when it was constructed by the Yadava Naidus, a local dynasty that ruled over the region. Strategically situated atop a hill overlooking the lush landscape below, the fort was initially built as a defensive stronghold to protect the kingdom from invasions.
