A teenager from Cramlington has told of how she didn’t realise how much she was missing because of her deafness – as she backed a campaign to get more help to children with hearing loss.
Eeva Tudor, 14, is backing calls by the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) for more support for families to learn about their child’s hearing loss and better access to information, advice and services.
Eeva says she didn’t realise how much she was missing because of mild deafness in her left ear, which was diagnosed when she was five.
Because she was doing well at school, Eeva and those around her,did not always realise how much she was missing.
