Last weekend I had an amazing privilege to support Ukraine by visiting Lviv and playing 2 recitals on the magnificent historic Rieger-Kloss organ at Lviv Organ Hall for a sold-out house. I spend a weekend in this magnificent city protected by UNESCO. I'm so grateful to @UkrainianLive team for this opportunity to meet some very sincere Ukrainian people who are are fighting for their right to live and who are doing everything they can (and more) to help their beloved country with such a rich history to win this terrible war and Ukraine be a part of the European democratic community with Western values once and for all.
So today I'd like to share with the the video of the 2nd recital which I played on Sunday, July 23, 2023. At the end you will also hear a different encore from the 1st recital. On the program, works of Ukrainian, Lithuanian and classical organ music - J.S. Bach, M.K. Ciurlionis, J. Naujalis, E. Gigout, M. Lysenko, V. Pinkevicius and L. Vierne. Thanks so much to Svitlana Pozdnysheva for her expert assistance during the recitals! I was lucky any of my recitals weren't disturbed by air alarm as it happened during the next concert in Lviv Organ Hall a few days later. Hope you will enjoy this video!
