"Bradley Owen Jean-Jacques"
Your name is a word, words have meaning
Bradley (Broad wood/Meadow)
Owen (Noble/Well-born/Young warrior)
Jean (God is gracious)
Jacques (Supplanter/usurper)
Fun fact: Jean = John & Jacques = Jacob soooo, his name was my name too...

Let's pretend for a moment that there really is a difference of nature in the life and existence of persons in the world versus "inanimate objects" like trees or toe-nails.
Both receive names. The names of "inanimate objects", we treat as their definition. Its definition is its identity. Is the name of a person to be the same? If so, how could a parent who couldn't possibly yet know the nature of the being they're about to bring into the world expect to accurately define or "name" this being? They might give a kind of 'superficial' name to refer to the young one by, but it's true name is still to be known AND ought to be determined by them, within their self, when it shows itself. Not externally by us.
Let your name be your identity and your identity be your definition. What you are is 'who' you are.
Know thyself, first and foremost. I cannot stress that shit enough. π§
Comment your birthname, your truename (if applicable), and don't actually call me Bradley. Respect my experience.
