Platform Update #3 - Enter the Web App

Apr 02, 2024

We're excited to announce the recent release of the Web application for Openspace! Designed with simplicity in mind, the Web platform offers users a straightforward browsing experience without the unnecessary fluff found on other platforms. While we're proud of this milestone, we're continuously working to enhance features to match the seamless experience provided by our mobile application. Stay tuned as we strive to bring you an even more robust and cohesive experience across all devices.

Introduction:

At Openspace, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. Recently, we encountered some challenges with server errors that temporarily hindered our platform's performance. However, with the unwavering support of our incredible users, we were able to overcome these obstacles and emerge stronger than ever. In this blog post, we want to express our gratitude, share our journey of overcoming these challenges, and outline our plans for the future.

Gratitude to Our Community:

First and foremost, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every member of our community. Your feedback, patience, and support during the recent server issues were invaluable. It was your input that helped us identify the root cause of the problem and implement the necessary fixes. At Openspace, we recognize that we're stronger together, and your collaboration truly exemplifies this ethos.

Resolving Server Errors:

The recent server errors were a result of misconfigurations on our load balancer, which mistakenly flagged traffic from both our mobile app and website as "bad traffic." This led to disruptions in service and frustrated many of our users. However, once we identified the issue, our team worked tirelessly to rectify the configuration and restore smooth operation. Through this experience, we've gained valuable insights into our infrastructure and reinforced our commitment to delivering a reliable platform for our users.

Looking Ahead:

With the server issues behind us, we are refocusing our efforts on growth and expansion. Our goal is to make Openspace.Social accessible to even more users and provide a vibrant community for content creators worldwide. To achieve this, we invite you to join us in spreading the word about Openspace. Whether it's through word of mouth, social media, or other channels, your advocacy can make a significant difference in our platform's reach.

Call to Action:

As we embark on this next phase of growth, we kindly ask for your support in leaving reviews on Google Play or the Apple App Store. Positive reviews not only boost our visibility but also signal to new users that Openspace is a platform worth exploring. Additionally, if you have any suggestions or ideas for how we can further enhance Openspace, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly. We welcome collaboration with anyone who shares our vision of fostering a vibrant online community.
