Hi, I'm Tobi, a Software Developer from Germany, currently based in Cambodia and building Ontineo. 

In 2010 I started working for a company specialized in business process automation, first as a university student, later leading frontend product development. I was involved in developing visual development tools to automate processes for companies across insurance, finance, utilities and manufacturing.

At the same time, through many years of volunteering with different organizations, I’ve experienced firsthand how much time and energy is often lost there on repetitive tasks that could easily be automated with the right tools. So I wanted to use my professional skills to help provide good and affordable solutions for non-profits. A few years ago this goal led me to Cambodia where I worked for around 3 years at a software company that shared a similar vision. 

Since mid-2024, my main focus has been creating a free and open source low-code framework. I believe that's how I can best support others who do great work to become even more effective. In the past I developed tools that enabled technical consultants to efficiently build and customize web portals. Now I’m trying something similar again - this time even simpler and free for everyone.
