Some Hamster fans wanted to know more about the latest setup for Fulcheek bin cage. In this article I will share links for items I bought and enrichment tips for your little buddy. I hope you find this useful and will help make the life of your hamster more cozy.
Fulcheek is a special and sweet hammy, she is organized and this helps me clean for her more often, ensuring she is comfortable and happy.
Fulcheek has diabetes, this means that I will have to be extra careful about feeding her and she needs to drink a lot of water and use the sand bathroom very often.
For her comfort and convenience I place the sand bath close to the drinking location and she keeps peeing in one spot in the bath. I keep checking constantly and clean that very often. Another bottle with hide added recently and I also keep refilling her water bowl next to the wheel.
Whenever the bowl is empty I noticed that this smart hammy keeps the seed shells in there so I can easily clean them away for her :)

3- Cardboard box
I made holes in both sides and filled the box with fluffy bedding. Fulcheek can access the sandbath from one side, chooses to stay in the cozy fluffy box or go explore around the cage from the other end.

I added shredded paper in there and she liked hanging out there :)
Tip: Add sand or shredded paper in the ceramic hide and it will absorb the pee and keep the hide clean and comfortable. It helps in the cleaning and the hamster will not end up stepping on wet pee if it gets absorbed sooner.

I used cork base wheel but it was really hard to clean. This plastic wheel is good quality, cheaper than the brand ones and works just fine for the dwarf hamster. Fulcheek started enjoying naps at the base of the wheel :)
6- Sandbaths
I used freezer boxes for a deep sandbath, in this way it will not get full of bedding and two locations help Fulcheek to choose the closest one when she needs to go to the bathroom. I keep cleaning this multiple times every day :)
Sand: Little and Bigger sand, I could not find a link (I buy this from the local shop) and it is not very fine and collects moisture in lumps which makes it easy to remove pee balls and keep the sand clean.

13- Paper napkins used to cover the tables. I can change the napkins more often and the wooden tables get less stained over time.
