Hello! We are the Fooxes, Amanda and Dmitry (little Sunny Foox and furry Teach Foox not pictured.)
We both together have almost 30 years of sobriety, and we both work in addiction recovery and mental health. Our paths crossed during the global pandemic all because Amanda (a reiki master, yoga teacher and outdoor guide) created a podcast interviewing folks in recovery that lead amazing lives after their life in addiction, it's called One Day I Decided. Dmitry initially sparked her interest with his unique PT business where the company PhysED brings lectures and information to treatment facilities and college PT programs showing how mind and body are connected and are extremely important to consider when rebuilding our mental health. After our first zoom call it was love at first interview and we quickly realized Dmitry a DPT, West Hollywood raised, Jewish man who immigrated from Ukraine at a young age and the mental health advocate, adoptee, Orange County girl who was fascinated with the circus (so much our wedding was circus themed) had a lot more in common than they could have ever imagined. We both have dedicated our lives to recovery and we have big dreams to change the world of recovery anyway we can. Perhaps by way of a Yellow Blue Bus. (IT means I love you.)
