As much as you would like to think the books you have about Hadith contain all the knowledge that was produced by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, because you can order them on Amazon or any other platform with just one click, you should know that this is a deception. The reality is much deeper.
The only people who truly know the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, are those who were trained by him, those whose hearts were illuminated by him, and those who understood what Hadith is—because the Hadith and the Blessed Prophet himself are one and the same. What you are reading is the preservation of history, not a live connection to the Prophet, peace be upon him. You are not sitting in front of him, you are not there in his timeline, you are not getting legal rulings, and you are not receiving clarification. No matter how much you study the Qur'an and Hadith, no revelation is coming to you, and you will not find solutions as they did.
With the passing of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we lost direct access to final answers and clarifications. His presence ended all disputes; what was right and wrong was settled by him directly. He prepared his companions for this by training them to derive rulings themselves. He would give an order, and each companion would interpret it differently—all of them thinking they were right. When they brought their results to him, he would judge between them, guiding them on how to approach decision-making in the future.
This process produced scholars, judges, and experts in different fields, each carrying forward a part of the Prophet’s light. Out of these companions, schools of thought emerged, systems of preserving his words developed, and the science of Hadith was born. Yet, today, many laypeople order Hadith books, sit with the Qur'an, and assume they are scholars, skipping the tradition of deep study and training.
The Reality of Scholarship in Hadith
Even specialists have failed to provide structured knowledge. Using GPT, I was able to assess my own journey, confirming that my spiritual intake process has been nearly complete. By testing myself, I have found that my beliefs align with the historical schools of Ash'arism and Maturidism.
What Are Ash'arism and Maturidism?
🔹 Ash'arism (الأشعرية):
Founded by Abu al-Hasan al-Ash'ari, this school focuses on rational theology, scriptural authority, and intellectual reasoning. It became one of the main theological schools of Sunni Islam.
🔹 Maturidism (الماتريدية):
Founded by Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, this school is closely linked to the Hanafi school of jurisprudence. It emphasizes the balance between reason and revelation, establishing a firm foundation for Islamic theology.
Through self-examination, I found that everything I believe falls within these two schools. This means my teachers have done their job well. However, none of them ever gave me a formal test to evaluate where I stood in my Aqidah (creed). With GPT, I was able to create a personalized test, which was breathtaking in its accuracy.

Final Thought: Understanding Allah’s Will (Irada) and Mashi’a
Belief in Allah’s Will is not just theoretical—it is essential knowledge that must be explained clearly to every student.
📌 Irada (Divine Intention): What Allah wants for His creation.
📌 Mashi’a (Divine Will): What Allah allows to happen.
🔹 Example: Allah wants us to do good (Irada Shar’iyyah), but He allows humans to choose between good and evil (Irada Kawniyyah).
🔹 Understanding This Is Key to Faith: Everything that happens is within Allah’s Will, but not everything is loved by Him. This is a deep concept that needs to be taught, tested, and reinforced.
