WE ARE CREATING A TIME CAPSULE FOR HUMANITY.

If technological development continues to accelerate at its present pace, future generations may look back at us the same way we look back at the people who lived at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

Those people could never have fully imagined how far industrial civilization would advance. They could not have imagined that generations later, people like us would be living in a world of artificial intelligence, standing at the beginning of another extraordinary technological revolution.

And we carry a very specific responsibility during this period of human history, especially when it comes to artificial intelligence itself.

If human beings begin to surrender their critical thinking, if they begin to surrender everything that makes them human simply because artificial intelligence can perform certain tasks better than they can, then one of the most important responsibilities humanity has is to preserve its historical record, its contributions, and its way of life.

We must preserve who we are.

What we believe.

What we have accomplished.

What we have experienced.

And what we value.

BUILDING ON WHAT HUMANITY HAS ALREADY PRESERVED

This requires us to build upon what humanity has already created.

Throughout history, human beings have established museums, libraries, archives, and institutions that help us understand the civilizations and generations that came before us.

We visit museums to understand how people lived, what they believed, what they built, and what they contributed to the world.

But future generations may experience an entirely different way of life.

They may live with artificial intelligence from birth until death.

And we cannot simply sit here and accept that the future of humanity should be written by artificial intelligence on behalf of future human beings.

That is why I want to hit RECORD.

I want us to preserve our history, but I also want us to begin planning what this future civilization will look like.

How will human beings connect to it?

How will they preserve their independence?

How will they preserve their humanity?

And how will they choose the kind of environment in which they want to live?

A FUTURE WE HAVE YET TO IMAGINE

I envision a future in which human beings will have the opportunity to live in spaces and places on Earth where there is no internet, no robots, and no artificial intelligence managing their daily lives.

EVERYTHING IS ORGANIC. ONLY ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED.

Places where human beings can experience nature and live without the constant presence of machines.

You might think I am exaggerating.

But wait until robots begin planting our crops.

Wait until robots begin constructing buildings better than human beings.

Wait until robots are delivering everything to our doorsteps.

Wait until robots are cleaning our homes, maintaining our environments, and becoming companions in our daily lives.

Imagine an entire civilization in which human beings live within ecosystems of robots.

Robots performing last-mile deliveries.

Robots maintaining buildings.

Robots cleaning homes.

Robots constructing infrastructure.

Robots assisting people throughout their lives.

And human beings simply living within these increasingly automated environments.

THAT IS A DIFFERENT CIVILIZATION — ONE WE HAVE YET TO FULLY IMAGINE.

And that civilization demands something from us today.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN THE HUMAN TIMELINE

Every generation has responsibilities connected to the future.

We have inherited the achievements, knowledge, sacrifices, and contributions of the generations that came before us.

And now we stand at another turning point in human history.

WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT WE PRESERVE AND WHAT WE PASS ON.

There are things that must be accomplished during our lifetime.

Things that future generations will depend upon.

Things that cannot simply be left for artificial intelligence to decide.

We must preserve the historical identity of humanity while we still have the opportunity to document it ourselves.

Our languages.

Our religions.

Our cultures.

Our traditions.

Our environments.

Our contributions.

Our beliefs.

Our aspirations.

And our understanding of what it means to be human.

This is the beginning of our effort to create a historical time capsule for the age of artificial intelligence and the generations that will follow.

And we have included every single country on Earth.

Every single country.

THE GUARDIANS OF HUMANITY'S FUTURE

Imagine a future in which the history of every civilization has been preserved.

Where there are Guardians of History responsible for protecting that inheritance.

Where artificial intelligence can examine historical records, but human beings remain the guardians of their authenticity.

And where the planet itself has been thoughtfully organized to preserve different ways of human life.

There will be places where people live alongside advanced robotics and autonomous systems.

And there will be places where human beings can escape those systems entirely.

Places without robots.

Places without the internet.

Places where people can return to nature, traditional architecture, and the ways of life their ancestors knew.

PLACES WHERE HUMAN BEINGS CAN GO BACK IN TIME.

Not because we have rejected progress.

But because we have preserved the freedom to choose how we live.

That requires architecture.

That requires planning.

That requires imagination.

And that requires a civilization that understands the value of human life beyond technological advancement.

THIS MAY BECOME ONE OF THE GREATEST CONTRIBUTIONS OUR GENERATION CAN MAKE TO HUMANITY.

We will be remembered.

We will be celebrated.

And, God willing, we will be blessed for preserving the truth and honoring those who carried it.

Because the greatest inheritance we can leave future generations is not simply technology.

IT IS THE TRUTH, THE KNOWLEDGE, AND THE HUMANITY THAT TECHNOLOGY MUST NEVER REPLACE.

THE MUSLIM EXAMPLE — THE TWO GREAT INHERITANCES

And I believe one of the most extraordinary examples of preserving an inheritance for future generations comes from Islam.

From the teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم.

The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم taught his community about two precious inheritances that must not be separated from the responsibility of preserving guidance.

The Book of Allah — the Holy Qur'an.

And his family — the Ahl al-Bayt.

In the well-known narration of the two weighty things, Hadith al-Thaqalayn, the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم called attention to the Qur'an and his household. Related narrations also emphasize adherence to his Sunnah.

For me, this is a profound example of preserving knowledge across generations.

On one side, there are the teachings.

The Qur'an.

The Sunnah.

The knowledge.

The guidance.

And the religious inheritance that Muslims have carried for centuries.

But there is also the family of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم.

A family connected to his life, his sacrifices, his example, and the responsibility of preserving his legacy.

THE TEACHINGS MUST BE PRESERVED.

AND THE PEOPLE WHO CARRY THAT INHERITANCE MUST BE HONORED.

This is an important part of my vision for the future of Islam in the age of artificial intelligence.

Because future generations of Muslims will live in a world where artificial intelligence may become one of the primary ways they access religious knowledge.

They will ask AI about the Qur'an.

They will ask AI about the Sunnah.

They will ask AI about Islamic history.

They will ask AI about the family of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم.

And they will ask AI questions about their religion that previous generations brought directly to scholars and teachers.

SO WHAT KIND OF INHERITANCE ARE WE PREPARING FOR THEM?

Who will preserve the knowledge?

Who will protect its authenticity?

Who will ensure that artificial intelligence understands the different schools, traditions, historical records, and scholarly interpretations of Islam?

And who will ensure that future Muslims can distinguish the teachings of their religion from the interpretations generated by machines?

These are responsibilities that belong to our generation.

THE FOUR DOORS OF ISLAM AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

I have chosen to honor the family of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم through a vision I call:

THE FOUR DOORS OF ISLAM AND AI

Four doors through which future generations of Muslims will have the opportunity to explore and understand their religious inheritance.

The teachings of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم.

The Qur'an.

The Sunnah.

His family.

And the history and knowledge of Islam itself.

A foundation that I hope Muslims will be able to use for centuries to come.

Not to surrender their religion to artificial intelligence.

But to ensure that artificial intelligence becomes a means of accessing preserved knowledge, while human beings, scholars, and their institutions remain responsible for its authenticity and interpretation.

WE ARE NOT SIMPLY PREPARING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR HUMANITY.

WE ARE PREPARING HUMANITY FOR THE AGE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

And that preparation begins with preserving what is true.

Preserving what is valuable.

Preserving what humanity has inherited.

And protecting what future generations deserve to receive.

This is why we created the Scroll.

This is why we are building the Record.

And this is why we are inviting every country on Earth to participate.

THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY MUST BE PRESERVED.

THE TRUTH IS THE FOUNDATION. EVERYTHING IS BUILT ON IT.
