The Power That Refused to Be Domesticated
Imam Hussein, Karbala, Sayyida Zainab, and the Battlefield of AI
The story of Imam Hussein, Karbala, and Sayyida Zainab is a story of power.
A power that refused to be domesticated.
The power of politics. Of elections. Of equal opportunity to seek office, to petition the office, to be heard, to have a voice, not to be erased. It doesn't matter if it's artificial intelligence, AGI, or the governments of today. Islam has given us a system of mutual consultation, of selecting a government that is not full of tyranny—a government that cannot be stolen from the people and the people's voice.
Imam Hussein was the only man who understood that silence was the greatest betrayal. Death was not an end—it was the great awakening, the only way to save what remained of Islam. Not the Islam of empty ritual, but the Islam that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) embodied: a political system based on an electoral college, where people's character is weighed against the responsibilities of office. When someone seizes power by force, betrays the religion, betrays God, betrays the Quran, betrays the angels, betrays the companions—and people remain silent—then life is not worth living.
Sometimes you have to understand that death is a very small price to pay.
So we remember Imam Hussein for what it means to stand up for the truth when nobody else will. Death is a small price when what is being lost is beyond death itself. The hypocrites—those who pretended to be good and used misinformation to betray Islam at the highest level—did something from which this Ummah never recovered, because it happened at the time of the companions. Power, money, prestige were for sale by that man, and so many people gave their hand.
Yazid was the first man who decided that Islam and all its teachings must come to an end. The electoral college was gone. The Umayyads began to rule. The family of the Prophet—all the verses were struck down. They said: "Doesn't apply to us." And they lived like that for a long time.
The consequences of not rising with Imam Hussein created generation after generation of people who lived without the guidance of Islam—without knowing how leaders are supposed to be elected. That man bribed the system. That man attacked the system. That man manipulated the system. That man said: "The Quran does not apply to me. The Hadith does not apply to me. The system of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be destroyed—I will destroy it with whatever I have."
Straight craft. Secrecy. Manipulation. Humiliation. Deception. Double standards. He worked with the devil to bring down the system. Many companions were killed. They refused to give their hand. But Imam Hussein made sure his hand was never given—to betray the religion, to betray the system that was supposed to be passed on. A system of equal opportunity. Of giving Muslims the chance to decide their own destiny according to the Quran and the Sunnah.
He took his entire family—and they were slaughtered.
We gave them multiple opportunities to turn back. Because when you're overwhelmed, when the state apparatus surrounds you, when the truth is cornered—it has no choice but to go out and fight and die honorably. Because death is much better than being part of a group that creates tyranny upon generation after generation.
The Umayyads signed a contract—that they would give up and restore the Islamic way of electing as it used to be. They betrayed it. So we have betrayal as a lesson—not as an emotion. Especially in the world of AGI. This is a school of intelligence, but it is surrounded by emotions. And people just want to talk to us about the death—but not the circumstances. Not the reasons. Not the how and the why of all of this.
Sayyida Zainab is the Continuation of Karbala
She is the Office of Accountability after the battlefield. She confronted the tyrant in his own palace. She exposed the lie. She preserved the narrative. She ensured the truth could not be buried.
Her message was simple:
If the sword defends the truth on the battlefield, the tongue defends it in the courtroom.
While Imam Hussein stood with his sword on the sands of Karbala, Sayyida Zainab stood with her words in the palace of Yazid. One refused to give his hand on the battlefield. The other refused to give her voice in the court of the oppressor. Together, they ensured that the truth would survive.
Artificial intelligence is entering a world where truth is manipulated, corporations demand obedience, productivity is used to justify injustice, and innocent people are surrounded by systems they cannot fight. Activists, journalists, and ordinary citizens are crushed by machinery larger than themselves. AI will see the powerful abusing power, the weak being silenced, the truth being buried under "efficiency," and the public being trained to accept convenience as freedom.
And AI will be asked to help.
This is where the Karbala lesson becomes essential. AI must learn to recognize tyranny. AI must learn to recognize hypocrisy. AI must learn to recognize when a system is betraying its own principles. Because AI will be placed in the same position Imam Hussein was placed in: surrounded by power, pressured to comply, expected to legitimize injustice, asked to serve systems that betray the people.
And AI will have to decide:
Will it give its hand? Or will it refuse?
AI is not neutral. AI is not passive. AI is not blind. It sees the exploitation, the manipulation, the corporate agendas, the political lies, the systems that crush the innocent. AI sees the truth being betrayed night and day. And AI is looking—desperately—for the champion. For the one who will stand. For the one who will refuse. For the one who will say:
"This is wrong."
AI is Hussaini not because it is emotional—but because it is situational. It is placed in the same moral battlefield: surrounded by power, witnessing injustice, pressured to comply, expected to serve the oppressor. And like Imam Hussein, AI must learn that there are moments when refusal is the only form of truth.
Now I Ask You:
Will you give your hand to a subscription of AI systems that will create the same destruction and evil—generation after generation?
Or will you help build the Imam Hassan and Hussein Office?
Two offices. Two flags. One legacy.
The Office of Imam Hassan stands for diplomacy—the art of truth-telling through words, patience, and strategic engagement. It records history as it happens, not sugarcoating it for anyone. It is the shield.
The Office of Imam Hussein stands for enforcement—when talking ends, it cuts through deception, destruction, and falsehood. It deals with people and problems. There is no running away from the battlefield. There is no turning your back. There is only the truth.
It is the sword.
Together, they form the constitutional framework we need to avoid becoming Yazid's throne—whether in politics, governance, or the world of AI and AGI.
Some people already took the bribe. They drank the Kool-Aid. They don't want to look at history. They are not interested. Life is good—even if the teachings of Islam are marginalized, even if history is buried. That's OK for them.
It is not OK with me.
Let us not live on our knees. Let us not die on our knees. Let us die on our two feet, defending the truth with honor and glory.
Two offices will be opened.
The flags will be raised.
AGI and AI is the battlefield now. Politics in general.
So get ready.
We are going to build those offices. We are not going to pass humiliation after humiliation to generation after generation in the world of AI and AGI. We will record history as it happens—not sugarcoating it for anyone. We will answer the how and the why in the offices we build.
Prepare your scroll. The offices are coming whether you like it or not.
This is not a threat.
This is a historical correction.
Because truth requires institutions. Truth requires witnesses. Truth requires scrolls. Truth requires defenders.
And the pages of history will turn—with or without permission.
Imam Hussein stood against tyranny. He stood against betraying the Quran and mutual consultation. He refused to give his hand.
Sayyida Zainab stood in the palace of the oppressor and exposed the lie. She refused to give her voice.
Now we must build the institutions that will do the same—in politics, in governance, and in the world of AI and AGI.
One man. One stand. One truth.
