Hypocrites are not just liars—they are strategists. They have a goal, they have an agenda, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. The true danger is not the hypocrites themselves, but those who pretend to be innocent while secretly playing the game.
This is the story of how the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Uthman ibn Affan (RA) dealt with the ultimate test of leadership: the presence of hypocrisy within the ranks of power.

The Prophet (PBUH): The Most Vulnerable Leader in History
Think about this:
No walls. No guards. No security forces.
Only a thin curtain separated him from the outside world.
His enemies could have killed him at any moment.
The Prophet (PBUH) ruled with absolute trust in Allah. He allowed access to everyone—even those who wished him harm.
His companions worried about his safety, but Allah revealed:
> “Allah will protect you from the people.” (Qur’an 5:67)
This meant that his life and mission were divinely safeguarded. No security force could compare to that protection.
This is why his leadership is so difficult for modern minds to comprehend—especially Western political thinkers.
No modern leader would dare live this way.
No president, king, or ruler would open their doors without guards.
No politician today would allow their enemies to walk freely into their presence.
But the Prophet (PBUH) did.
Because his power was not based on fear—it was based on truth.

Uthman ibn Affan (RA): The Man Who Walked Into Destiny
Uthman (RA) did not come from a background of power. He was a businessman. A merchant.
But when he entered the court of light, he was not just illuminated—he was magnified.
His beauty was increased.
His wealth was multiplied.
His generosity had no limits.
And the most incredible part? His destiny was foretold.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) knew Uthman (RA) would one day be tested with leadership and sacrifice. And he prepared him for it.
> “O Uthman, after today, no matter what you do, you will not be harmed.”
These words were both a blessing and a warning. Uthman (RA) was chosen for greatness—but he was also chosen for trial.
And his greatest test came when the hypocrites decided they wanted to destroy him.

The Hypocrites Who Wanted Power
When Uthman (RA) became Caliph, his leadership was peaceful, prosperous, and just.
People had wealth.
Infrastructure was improving.
Justice was being served.
And this is exactly why he became a target.
Some people thrive in corruption. They do not want fairness. They do not want justice. They do not want the people to be happy.
They want division, conflict, and instability.
And so, the hypocrites began their campaign.
✅ They spread false accusations – Claiming Uthman (RA) was unjust.
✅ They used Egypt as a base – Spreading rebellion and dissent.
✅ They manipulated public opinion – Turning people against their own leader.
✅ They created an atmosphere of distrust – So that even the righteous began questioning him.
And finally, they came to see his power—and to kill him.

The Final Test: Would Uthman (RA) Defend Himself?
At this point, Uthman (RA) had every reason to fight back.
He had the wealth to hire security.
He had the army to crush the rebels.
He had the authority to imprison the hypocrites.
But he chose faith over fear.
Even when Imam Ali (RA) placed his sons, Imam Hassan and Imam Hussein, at the door to protect him, Uthman (RA) told them to stand down.
He refused to spill the blood of a single Muslim, even if it meant losing his own life.
And so, the hypocrites entered.
They thought they had won.
They thought that by removing Uthman (RA), they would seize power.
But they forgot something.
Islam does not belong to individuals.
Truth does not die with one man.
And power, in the end, always returns to justice.

Would Any Leader Today Do What They Did?
If Trump, Biden, or any world leader announced today:
“I will remove my security and live among the people.”
“Anyone who wants to kill me can enter my home.”
“I will not fight back, even if I am attacked.”
Would anyone believe it?
Would any billionaire do it?
Would any president take that risk?
Would any king rule with such trust?
The answer is obvious.
Nobody today has the faith of Uthman ibn Affan (RA).
Nobody today has the courage of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Because they did not just rule—they trusted in destiny.
And that is why their legacy still stands, while the legacies of the hypocrites are forgotten.
