The Angels Who Carry the Throne of Allah: Their Divine Prayer for You
The Highest Praise from the Holiest of the Holy
Among all the angels, those who carry the Throne of Allah hold a rank beyond imagination. They reside in the purest realm, engaged in continuous glorification, yet their focus is not only on worship—they are also praying for you.
These angels, who are among the closest to Allah, intercede for the believers, asking for forgiveness, mercy, and entry into Paradise—not just for you, but for your righteous descendants as well.
Allah reveals their words in the Qur’an, allowing us to witness their prayer:

Surah Ghafir (40:7-9): The Supplication of the Throne-Bearing Angels
اللّٰهُ يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
الَّذِينَ يَحْمِلُونَ الْعَرْشَ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ رَحْمَةً وَعِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ
رَبَّنَا وَأَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ٱلَّتِي وَعَدتَّهُمْ وَمَن صَلَحَ مِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
Translation (Sahih International):
"Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying]:
‘Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
Our Lord, admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them, along with whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And whomever You protect from evil consequences that Day—you will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment.’"
(Surah Ghafir 40:7-9)

Imagine the purest beings, stationed at the holiest of places, carrying the Throne of the Almighty—and what are they doing?
They are praying for you.

Why Do the Throne-Bearing Angels Pray for Us?
📜 The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"There is not a single person who sends blessings upon me, except that Allah commands an angel to take it to me and say: 'So-and-so has sent blessings upon you.'"
(Sunan An-Nasa'i 1282)
✔️ They are commanded by Allah to pray for the believers.
✔️ They recognize those who sincerely seek repentance.
✔️ They love those who follow Allah’s guidance.
Their supplication is a divine mercy extended to those who turn back to Allah.

🔹 Seek Allah’s mercy – The angels acknowledge that Allah’s mercy encompasses all things.
