I applied the 80/20 rule, 80% dark and 20% light, to create this book cover.
It is an eye-catching style and creates irony, as the title of my book is ‘Light’, yet the cover is so dark that hardly any details can be seen.
This paradox also reflects the protagonist’s inner conflict - of wanting to be more confident and happy, yet being surrounded by insecure and unhappy people.
I feel like there is still something missing from this cover, so I may make further changes going forwards.
