Am super chuffed to have finally opened my own virtual bar here on Buy Me a Coffee so you can offer me a couple of quid and help me out on this crazy adventure! Just so you understand, Obligatory Soul is really only driven by one person, me, Barni aka Dj CasH (my moniker of 30+ years). I don't work in the industry and have never really DJ-ed for work (3 occasions in total), but played at a bunch of gigs in the 90s, mostly for free or private parties. I really only do this with passion out of my own time, to brighten up the lives of people who have told me just how much they are happy to hear all these golden oldies we all love so much.
As for many of you, the early 90s as those were memorable years in my life! It's also obvious that the 90s sound has come right around in the recent years, so many of the younger generations also love and need to hear many of these vintage slices of house music history. I'm going to keep up the fight, create more and more new content! Some of what you support me with will go to helping me finance a MixCloud Pro account, maintaining my analog setup (styli & equipment) in good working order and possibly even help me cop some of those treasured records on my Wishlist!
